 REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. degree in Mining Engineering (preferred), or B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience as Applications Engineer in Heavy Equipment Manufacturing. (Entry Level candidates may be considered, if they meet the minimum qualifications)
  • Ability to provide technical assistance in the use or application of Company's products
  • Must have experience using Runge TALPAC mining software (or ability to learn)
  • Must be able to perform truck haulage simulations using Runge TALPAC software
  • Must be able to estimate production rates, haulage, cost per ton
  • Must have an understanding of the mining industry, specifically the surface mining methods
  • Understanding of the application of mining machinery and equipment
  • Knowledge of global sales strategy related to mining equipment
  • Ability to give presentations to staff and customers
  • Develop and present technical training to staff
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Knowledge of Project Management software
  • Ability to visit mining sites worldwide
  • Must have driver's license
  • Able to obtain a passport
  • Ability to travel 30% of the time, domestically and internationally for up to 4 weeks at a time.

SUMMARY:

Research, develop, design, and test welded structural components and systems used in manufacturing heavy equipment. Research and develop welded structural components and steel castings. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and test data. Develop Finite Element (FE) models, perform calculations to determine structural integrity and system loads. Specify raw material types and sizes. Assist the CAD drafters with developing structural designs.

 

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • 2 years of Pro-E experience
  • 2 years of Structural Design experience

           OR

  • Associate's degree in Engineering related field
  • 2 years of Pro-E experience
  • 4 years of Structural Design experience

            OR 

  • 2 years of Pro-E experience
  • 7-8 years of Structural Design experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Pro-E, Pro-E Mechanica, CAD and MS Office
  • Ability to plan and direct resources and manage projects
  • Knowledge of algebra, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry; knowledge of probability and statistical inference
  • Knowledge of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
  • Will be required to travel nationally and internationally up to 20% of the time

A CONTRACT POSITION, Long-Term, with Temp-Hire Potential

SUMMARY:

Seeking Designers with 3D Surfacing and Unigraphics experience. Will use Unigraphics NX10 to develop 3D solid models of mechanical components and assemblies

  • Provide CAD models at various stages of the design development
  • Create 3D surface models according to aerodynamic profiles
  • Work closely with Engineering to refine design and solve problems
  • Interact with the Fabrication staff to ensure manufacturability
  • Interact with Programming staff to ensure content of solid model
  • Select standard components for use in the design
  • Perform material selection and sizing of components 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree and 3 + years of related experience (aerospace, automotive, or other 3D surfacing experience), or equivalent combination
  • Unigraphics NX strongly preferred
    Solid modeling experience
  • Understanding of GD&T
  • US citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance. Strongly prefer DoD clearance in hand.
